How we work
We’re here to make your life easier.
Think of us as that really efficient colleague, who you can brief something to and they’ll just get on and do it.
No fuss.
They’ll ask questions when needed and appropriate. They’ll let you know when the work is completed. They’ll prompt you if they’re waiting for something.
Above all, they’ll do an excellent job.
We’re a team of humans! We’re not automated and we’re not farming content off overseas. We’re a UK-based team of PR writers and professionals with tonnes of experience in writing media-worthy content, and distributing to media.
We’re not a mass distribution service. We handpick the media we send to in a highly targeted and personalised way, depending on your brief and what is a realistic expectation for the news you have to share. Chances are there aren’t 10,000+ media outlets relevant to your story. There’s more likely a handful of places you really want your press release to appear. That’s where we’ll focus.
It’s our job as PR writers to create a release which stands the best chance of getting published, and doing a great job at distribution. However, without paying for advertising space we cannot guarantee publication. This is always true of PR.
Whether we’re distributing the final release or leaving that with you, we always ask where you are hoping for it to be published. That’s so we can ensure the angle and tone is relevant to the publication type. For example, if you’re looking to publish in a local newspaper, you’re going to need to have a local angle. If you want to publish in a manufacturing industry magazine, the local angle wouldn’t be relevant. Frequently there are several angles within the same piece of news*.
Marketing and PR can’t be automated. Look at the following as a guide.
-
Step 1
You give us all the information we need to create a great press release. We’ve a very simple to use form you can fill in online or you can give us the information by phone, email, or WhatsApp.
-
Step 2
We review the information and do any background/industry research, then draft the release and send to you for review.
-
Step 3
If you have any amendments/requested changes, you let us know and we’ll revise the press release and send it back to you for approval. We allow one set of revisions within our costs.
-
Step 4
If we’re distributing your release we’ll have already researched the media we’re going to target. We distribute to the agreed media audience and let you know when it’s complete.
-
Job done.
At any time in the process we may have questions in which case we’ll pick up the phone or use your preferred method of contact. Or vice versa.
